Alpine Loop

Last Saturday Brad convinced me that I could actually leave the house for a few hours and get out and enjoy the beautiful weather.  I was a little skeptical that I could actually do it (trying to master breastfeeding is my full time focus right now!) but I agreed and I am so glad we went.  The leaves were just changing and the colors were beautiful.

This was Owen's first time to the mountains and he loved it so much he slept the whole time!

We ended the drive with a relaxing picnic at Tibble Fork Reservoir.  It was a much needed quick getaway!

We arrived at the hospital at 5:00 am on Friday, still trying to comprehend how it was that we would be parents in only 2 hours.  The c-section went well.  I had a hard time with the anesthesia during the actual procedure but recovery has gone smooth.  Baby is eating well and is just as cute as can be.  And yes, that is strawberry red hair that you see!  We just love him so much.
