Porter's Blessing Day

We were able to bless Porter in church on Sunday.  Brad gave Porter a beautiful blessing and we were so grateful to have so many family members there with us.

Porter wore the same blessing outfit as Owen and the same shoes Brad was blessed in almost 30 years ago.

 Can't forget this little cutie!

So happy to have my parents there.  They are pretty wonderful!

Four generation picture with Brad's grandma & mom.  They are equally as wonderful!
(Don't you love Porter's expression in this picture!)

We are truly blessed!

Porter at 2 months!

Porter is starting to show more of his personality, which is so fun!  He is a pretty mellow baby, which I am grateful for since Mr. Owen is always on the go!  He is getting better at sleeping (6 hr stretches-- I'll take it!) and at entertaining himself during the awake moments.  Just this week we have started to get lots of smiles which are just adorable.  He still has crazy hair and there's nothing I can do about it!  People are always commenting "Look at that hair!"  I'm pretty sure that he will have blue eyes just like his big brother, now we just have to wait and see if his hair goes blond too.

We had family in town this week for Thanksgiving & Porter's blessing, so he got lots of snuggles from Mimi, Papa, Aunt Taryn & Uncles Grant and Luke. They all adore him as much as we do.
Here's P-man getting some quality time with his look alike Luke.  Here is a picture of Luke at around the same age as Porter:

Porter spits up quite frequently so we use lots of bibs & burp cloths.   Luckily it seems like he may be outgrowing it a bit as it has gotten less frequent the past few weeks!
We sure love this little boy, spit up and all!

Halloween

It was so fun to watch Owen experience Halloween this year.  This was the first time he "got it".  And this holiday was made for him-- the kid who loves candy & people.  Nothing better!  It was so cute to hear him say "Tick or Treat" and "Kank You".  Although we need to work on the not-running-into-people's-front-room-when-they-open-the-door for next year, I would call 2012 a success!

Happy Halloween from Bronco Mendenhall "Football comes 5th!", Dr. Owen, and Porter the pirate!
We got to go to Brad's work and Trick-or-treat around the office.  Talk about efficiency!  Trick-or-treating desk to desk is awesome!

Porter didn't know what he was missing!

P-man needed a little Mommytime, so we hung out on the benches for awhile at the end before we headed home.  While we waited Owen broke out the candy... bring on the sugar!
